Why import instead of buying locally?
Finland's used-car market is small and expensive. Germany's is the largest in Europe — over 1.5 million listings on mobile.de alone — with better-equipped cars at clearly lower prices. Even after Finnish car tax and transport, a typical customer saves €3,000–8,000 compared with buying the same car in Finland. The catch when doing it alone: buying remotely from a seller you've never met, in a language you may not speak, and wiring money across borders. That's exactly the part we remove — we physically inspect every car at the seller's location before you pay anything.

Services and prices
Pick only what you need. Pricing is fully transparent — the car's price, service fee, transport and car tax are always shown as separate lines. No hidden commissions.
Finnish car tax (autovero), explained
Every car imported into Finland is subject to car tax (autovero). It's calculated from the car's market value in Finland, and the rate depends on CO₂ emissions — low-emission and electric cars pay the least, which is why EVs and plug-in hybrids are the most popular imports. Two things worth knowing:
- No VAT on used EU cars. Buying a used car from another EU country doesn't trigger Finnish VAT — only car tax. (New cars — under 6 months or 6,000 km — are taxed differently; we'll guide you.)
- We are a registered car tax filer with the Finnish Tax Administration. We file the declaration for you, the car can be registered right away, and you see a reliable tax estimate before you commit to buying. No surprises afterwards.
Example: what a car really costs imported
| Volvo XC60 from Stockholm | Price |
|---|---|
| Car price in Sweden | €27,900 |
| Service fee (Sweden) | €899 |
| Transport Stockholm → Helsinki | €630 |
| Car tax (estimate) | €3,600 |
| Registration, full service | €665 |
| Total on Finnish plates | €33,694 — about €5,200 less than the same car listed in Finland |

Frequently asked questions
Is the whole process really available in English?
Yes. Quotes, contracts, inspection-report walkthroughs and day-to-day communication all work in English, by phone, WhatsApp or email. The written inspection report itself is produced in Finnish, but we go through every finding with you in English.
How long does it take?
From Germany, typically about 14 days from the moment your payment reaches the seller. The inspection report usually arrives within 2 working days of ordering.
How do I pay the seller safely?
You never wire money blind. The purchase happens only after our on-site inspection, the deal is secured with the seller, and payment is arranged either directly with verified bank details or through our brokered process. Optional Purchase Cover™ adds crime protection up to €200,000.
Can you handle everything — I just receive the keys?
Yes, that's the Import Package™: search, inspection, negotiation, transport, car tax declaration and registration guidance. Add the registration service (from €249) and your only task is receiving the car.
What if the car fails the inspection?
Then you don't buy it — that's the point. We keep searching and inspect the next candidate at a reduced price. No car is bought without a passed inspection.
Do EV batteries get checked?
Yes. Every electric car gets an underbody camera check, and we offer the TÜV BatteryCheck™ — a certified battery analysis with an exact State of Health (SOH) figure — before you buy.
